The 18th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2027 (LIMA'27) is coming to Langkawi in April 2027. LIMA is a biennial exhibition dedicated to the defence, commercial, and industrial sectors, and it serves as a trade platform for the maritime and aerospace industries across the region.

LIMA 2027 Date & Venue Location

LIMA'27 will be held from 20th April to 24th April 2027 in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. As in previous editions, the exhibition is split across two venues:

• Aerospace segment: Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC)
• Maritime segment: Resorts World Langkawi

LIMA'27 is jointly organised by the Ministry of Defence Malaysia and Global Exhibitions & Conferences (GEC) under the theme "Sustainable Vision Across Sea, Sky & Space." The ministry says this edition will place greater emphasis on next-generation defence technologies, including autonomous maritime systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, satellite communications, space technology, and advanced weapons systems.

Visitors will also get a first-hand look at the armed forces' latest acquisitions, including the FA-50 Light Combat Aircraft, the Anka unmanned aerial vehicle from Turkiye, and the Littoral Mission Ship.

Global Stage for Local Innovators

Whether you're a seasoned industry veteran or a budding entrepreneur, LIMA offers a chance to engage with the global maritime and aerospace community. The previous edition, LIMA'25, closed with an attendance of about 450,000 and RM11 billion in transactions, with more than 860 companies from 24 countries taking part. For LIMA'27, organisers are targeting 400,000 trade and public visitors.

Crowds put real pressure on travel in Langkawi. More than 87,000 ferry tickets were sold for travel to the island during LIMA'25, so attendees for LIMA 2027 are encouraged to book flights, ferries, accommodation, car rental and ground transport well in advance.
